About Trauma-informed Relational Somatics
Trauma-informed Relational Somatics is the brainchild of somatic therapist Natalia Rachel. This foundational training merges the best of talk and touch therapies, focusing on attunement as the cornerstone of effective trauma recovery. The approach emphasizes the importance of creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore and integrate their experiences, leading to profound personal growth and transformation.
Certification

Experiential Training
This is an experiential training designed to encourage participants to explore their own stories through vulnerable sharing and somatic exploration. It is through our embodied experiences that we can best integrate our learnings and share them with the world.

Overview of Module 1 and Module 2
Module 1: Attunement & Safe Somatization
Participants will learn how to:
Safely somatize and repair the mind-body split.
Read and respond to threat responses, helping clients approach ventral vagal states.
Use hypnotic language paired with holds.
Develop somatic intuition to understand and respond to their own somatic signals during sessions.
Enhance touch skills, including gentle touch holds, working with the head, and promoting local unwinding.
Layout a somatization session, from intention setting to containment and integration.
Identify emotional charges and help clients make sense of them.
Respond to spontaneous releases to ensure safety and prevent re-suppression.
Process shame as a precursor to deeper emotional processing.
Provide psychoeducation to support clients' understanding and integration.
Module 2: Intentional Trauma Processing
Building on the foundation set by Module 1, participants will delve into:
Understanding how emotions live in the body, gain movement, momentum, and release.
Building tools to support emotional release through touch, verbal cues, and somatic expression (movement, breath, sound).
Developing the capacity to sense emotion and bring gentle awareness to the client.
Working with resistance and fragmentation through somatic parts therapy.
Advanced touch applications, including working with the jaw, throat, diaphragm, and psoas.
Providing advanced psychoeducation.
Creating trauma maps and understanding root causes for effective processing.
Exploring transference and existential themes related to trauma and un-belonging.
